About Me

Since graduating with my BFA in 2010, I have worked over a decade in the graphic design field, continually seeking to learn new skills and become a more well-rounded artist. A couple years into my career I began working once again in traditional media in my free time and eventually went on to participate in local gallery shows and art fairs. As one of the founding members of Women of Indianapolis Arts (WOIA) and Sobro Artist Collective, I’ve helped curate and organize art shows in the Indianapolis community. 

While I have many interests, I will always have a particular love of drawing and ink. Splattering color and watching the India ink “bloom” in unpredictable ways satisfies both my need to feel “in control” but also letting things fall as they will. I enjoy mixing media in new ways and experimenting but if I had to pick one thing that I would say is my medium of choice, that would be the human form. The human figure has been my most studied subject and is limitless in the ways it can be used to emote and communicate. As my art continually evolves, the theme that remains constant is the exploration of human connection and experience.
